The new trailer for the anime also unveiled theme song details.
The upcoming anime “NEEDY GIRL OVERDOSE” (Needy Streamer Overload) just released a new trailer. The series is set to premiere on 4 April, 2026. A brand new key visual featuring the central character OMGkawaiiAngel has also been released.
NEEDY GIRL OVERDOSE anime details
The newly announced ending theme song of the series is ‘LEVITATION’ performed by Tatsuya Kitani. The opening theme song ‘Internet Angel’ will be performed by KAngel (Chōten-chan), the main character of the anime. The song was arranged and scored by the original game franchise’s musical composer Aiobahn +81, while the game writer Nyalra wrote the lyrics.
It was also previously announced that a brand new streamer unit has been created specifically for the anime. Titled Karamazov, the unit’s cast includes:
- Rina Kawaguchi as Purple Lollipop
- Satsuki Shiina as Michika Gokubara
- Seena Hoshiki as Nechika-sama
The supporting voice cast of the anime also includes:
- Anna Nagase as Kache
Masaoki Nakajima directs the anime at Yostar Pictures. Kenji Saikai, Akari Takei, and Kaito Shimizu are designing the characters while Aiobahn +81, Sasuke Haraguchi and DÉ DÉ MOUSE compose the music. The original story was created by Nyalra, while Ohisashiburi created the original character designs.

The anime is based on the 2022 visual novel game developed by Xemono and written by Nyalra. There were some problems between the game’s writer Nyalra and the publisher WSS Playground back in November 2025. The official Steam page of the game describes the story as:
NEEDY STREAMER OVERLOAD is a “multi-ending ADV” depicting daily life with “OMGkawaiiAngel”, a young girl with a rather extreme need for approval attempting to become the #1 “Internet Angel” (streamer). Gradually build up OMGkawaiiAngel’s number of followers as she spends her days streaming, using various ”stress relievers”, and generally being kinda messed up. Experience all the different crazy ups and downs and find out for yourself whether this story is even capable of having a happy ending.
