The fourth season of the main anime is set to air in April 2026.
The popular manga and anime series “Welcome to Demon School! Iruma-kun” just announced a new project. The spin-off manga series “IruMafia Edition” will also receive an anime adaptation in January 2027. The exact release date hasn’t been announced, but a new key visual of Iruma has been revealed. The fourth season of Welcome to Demon School! Iruma-kun will air in April 2026.
IruMafia Edition anime adaptation details
The new key visual shows off mafia member Iruma in a white suit and hat. Unfortunately, the production staff and cast for the anime hasn’t been confirmed by the show’s new social media accounts. But we can hope that some of the voice actors from the main anime will reprise their roles in the spin-off.
The IruMafia Edition manga is a spin-off based on Osamu Nishi’s popular manga Welcome to Demon School! Iruma-kun. The spin-off, penned and illustrated by hiromono, began publication on 12 September 2023, in the Bessatsu Shōnen Champion magazine. Later it was transferred to the Weekly Shōnen Champion magazine on 11 December, 2025. Kodansha publishes the IruMafia Edition manga in English and describes the story as:
Iruma-kun, the mob boss?!
In this brand-new spinoff of the runaway hit series, Iruma is a dirt-poor but kind young boy who grows up in a ruthless city slum. One day, Iruma gives a severely injured old man his last loaf of bread and nurses the stranger back to health—only to find out that the elder gent is none other than Don Sullivan, leader of the Babel Mafia! Soon after, Don Sullivan comes back, whisks Iruma away, and begs the boy to become his grandson. And just like that, the curtains rise on Iruma’s chaotic new life as the next in line to a gigantic gang of—dare we say—demonic mafiosos!
The original Welcome to Demon School! Iruma-kun manga by Osamu Nishi began in March 2017 in the Weekly Shōnen Champion magazine. It has 46 tankōbon volumes so far. The anime adaptation by Bandai Namco Pictures and NHK Educational TV began in October 2019. The second and third seasons aired in April 2021 and October 2022. The fourth season is set to air in April 2026. Kodansha publishes the original manga in English and describes the plot as:
Hopeless pushover Iruma Suzuki has found himself in a devil of a predicament… His trashy parents have sold off his soul, and he now has to live and attend school in the Netherworld. But with his unique survival skills and doting demon grandfather’s support, Iruma will surely make it through this hellish experience. He’ll just need to subjugate rival classmates, summon familiars, and more, all while never revealing that he’s human… Easy as aleph, bet, gimel, right?
