Aira makes a move on Okarun, as Momo feels a sense of ease with Jiji.
In the previous chapter of the Dandadan manga, we saw that Okarun and Momo went their different ways during their amusement park group date. In the recent chapter, we see Aira and Okarun bond over their shared love for dinosaurs, and in the end, she makes a bold move on him. On the other hand, Momo feels increasingly calmer in the presence of Jiji, who is her childhood friend and the two share a special moment. But then what about our MomOkarun?

What happens in Dandadan Chapter 230?
The chapter opens with Okarun and Aira visiting the dinosaur exhibition. They are both excited, and Okarun tells Aira that he didn’t know she was into dinosaurs. She gets shy and says that she wasn’t before, but she did some research when she heard they will have a group date at the amusement park. She read a lot about dinosaurs because she thought he would love them, and actually found herself enjoying the process. After saying all that, she feels embarrassed for blabbering too much.
But Okarun surprises her by saying that he also did a lot of research about the location before coming here today, including the dinosaur exhibition, the aquarium, and where to eat and rest. He did it because he wanted to impress everyone, but never thought she’d do the same. Since Aira is always so sophisticated and popular, he thought these things didn’t bother her. But now he understands that she is popular because she puts in the effort to understand others, and he feels a wonderful kinship with her. Aira is delighted and emotional hearing his words.
Suddenly, someone pushes her from behind and she falls on Okarun’s chest. Okarun asks if they should move further away from the crowd. Feeling brave, Aira holds his hand and says that it’s dangerous with so many people around and she also has night blindness, so he needs to hold her. Okarun says he understands and the two roam around holding hands.
At the aquarium, Momo and Jiji joke about the funny fishes they see. Jiji jokingly says that she is ruining their date, to which Momo says that this is not a date. Jiji keeps teasing her, and Momo gets a bit angry with him and says they are only here to hang out together. Jiji says he understands and observes that Momo seems to be in better spirits. Momo says that she got a call from her grandmother yesterday. She said the operation was successful and she will be coming home soon. Jiji is also elated hearing this. Momo tells him that her grandmother, Seiko, was also going on about someone called Turbo Granny and asks him if he knows her.
Jiji is relieved to hear that Turbo Granny is with Seiko. Momo asks if she’s his grandmother to which he says it’s something like that. Momo comments that she will ask her grandmother to refrain from calling someone else's grandmother ‘Turbo Granny’, but Jiji says it’s okay and he doesn’t mind. Changing the subject, he asks her if she’s finding it hard to deal with all of them. Momo answers that she has this constant gloomy feeling about not having any memories. She can’t remember anything, her mind is still unsettled, and something feels wrong.
However, she says that the constant tension in her chest is eased whenever she is with Jiji. She asks him what might be the reason for that? Jiji suddenly grabs a hold of her hand and says it’s probably because he is a moron. Momo blushes at the action but doesn’t take her hand away. She agrees with him and the two continue their tour of the aquarium.
What to expect from Dandadan Chapter 231?
After seeing the weird person who insisted on cutting Kinta’s hair in the last chapter, I was hoping to see some action. But Tatsu decided to break my heart instead. I have been invested in Momo and Okarun’s relationship from day one, and seeing them fall apart like this is truly unacceptable. Even though I like seeing the bonds deepen between the other members of the group, I really do want nothing more than Momo and Okarun finally get together. But from the look of it, it’s not happening anytime soon. Here’s to hoping that we get some action in the next chapter. I wish I lost my memories like Momo so I could wipe this chapter from my brain.
