The upcoming fantasy romance anime series “The Ogre’s Bride” has just released a character trailer. Alongside featuring the voices of the main characters, the video also highlights new characters and their voice actors. The series is set to premiere sometime in 2026, but the exact release date remains unknown.
The Ogre’s Bride anime new cast, staff, and other details
The new cast members joining the show are:
- Manaka Iwami as Karin Shinonome
- Ryota Osaka as Yota Kogetsu
- Sayaka Senbongi as Toko
- Natsuki Hanae as Tokichi Nekota
Previously announced cast members of the series include:
- Saori Hayami as Yuzu Shinonome
- Yuichiro Umehara as Reiya Kiryuuin
- Momoka Terasawa as Sou
- Miyu Kobashi as Ao
Kazuhito Omiya directs the anime at Colored Pencil Animation Japan. Yumi Kamakura handles the scripts while Hikari Tanaka designs the characters. Masaru Yokoyama is composing the music for the series.
The anime is based on a light novel series written by Kureha and illustrated by Yū Shiroya. It began serialisation as a web novel on the Novema website in 2019. Starts Publishing acquired the rights to the novel and began publishing it in a book format under their Starts Shuppan Bunko imprint in October 2020. Jun Togashi’s manga adaptation of the series began serialising on Starts Publishing's noicomi digital magazine in December 2021. MangaPlaza publishes the manga adaptation in English and describes the story as:

The ayakashi, having superior abilities and beautiful appearances, sometimes find their partner among human women, making them their "bride". The bride, in exchange for bringing prosperity, receives absolute love from the ayakashi. Yuzu is constantly compared to her sister, a bride of a demon fox, and is resented by her family every day. One day, when Yuzu just couldn't take things anymore, a man appears before her on a bridge. This man is the most beautiful man Yuzu has ever seen... and he's calling her his wife?!
