The manga is created by Kami Nishio.
Back in August 2025, Japanese publishing company Kodansha released a special US edition of their popular Young Magazine, which included various one-shot manga by new creators. After a poll, it was announced in November that the top five winners will be serialised in both Japanese and English. After almost a year, the first place winner, Kami Nishio’s “Still You” will start serialisation on 24 August, 2026.

Where will the Still You manga be serialised?
As per the announcement by YanManga Web, the Still You manga will be serialised on their website from 24 August, 2026. As previously promised, the series will also be launched in English in Kodansha’s K Manga website.
The story of Still You revolves around two high-school boys named Reo and Rui, who shared a kiss out of curiosity three years ago. However, after catching him in the act, Reo’s older brother physically abused him as a form of punishment. Since then, Reo and Rui have maintained distance from one another. In high school, a girl named Momo propositions Reo and they start going out. But Momo notices that Reo keeps stealing glances at Rui and doesn’t pay attention to her.
The other four winners of the poll are: Rin Shimokawa’s Godmother, Ray Kindo’s The Knight of Blasphemy, Daisuke Itabashi’s The Journey of a Dark Elf with Fading Powers, and OUGA’s Fascination.
Out of these, The Journey of a Dark Elf with Fading Powers began serialisation on 20 December, in the January 2026 issue of Kodansha's Monthly Young Magazine. The Knight of Blasphemy was also launched in the magazine’s August issue which came out on 16 July.
Kodansha previously promised that four additional titles from the poll will also get serialisations. These include: Robico’s To Dusk and Twilight, Keito Gaku’s Boys Run the Riot, Daisaku Tsuru’s Protocol Ryugu, and Hiroshi Takashige and Tatsumi Hitomoji’s THE LAST TERRAN.
The first three manga have already been serialised while THE LAST TERRAN will begin serialisation in the September issue of Young Magazine, which will be released on 24 August.
