Sakuma will voice assassin Shin Kohazame in the upcoming anime.
The popular idol Daisuke Sakuma has been cast in yet another exciting anime! It was announced that Sakuma will voice the assassin Shin Kohazame in the upcoming action comedy anime KILL BLUE. The series is set to air in April 2026.
KILL BLUE anime new cast and other details
A picture of Sakuma along with a character visual of Shin Kohazame was posted on the official X (formerly Twitter) account of the KILL BLUE anime. A member of the idol group Snow Man, Daisuke Sakuma has previously voiced anime characters such as Makusa North in Black Clover and Shō Kireide in the new High School! Kimengumi remake. He is also set to voice the protagonist Jinsuke Tachikawa in the upcoming Inherit the Winds anime.
The previously announced cast members of KILL BLUE include:
- Shunsuke Takeuchi as adult Ōgami Jūzō
- Yūko Sanpei as young Ōgami Jūzō
- Fuka Izumi as Noren Mitsuoka
- Shūichirō Umeda as Kotatsu Nekota
- Takeo Ōtsuka as Tenma Tendo
- Atsumi Tanezaki as Chisato Shiraishi
- Yumi Uchiyama as Eri Wanibuchi
Hiro Kaburagi directs the anime at CUE, with Miho Daidōji as the character designer.
The anime is based on Tadatoshi Fujimaki’s manga series of the same name which serialised in Shueisha’s Weekly Shōnen Jump magazine from April 2023 to September 2025. Viz Media publishes the manga in English and describes the story as:
