The manga is set to return on 25 May, 2026.
The popular new-gen shōnen manga “Kagurabachi” just announced a sudden one-week break. The hiatus was revealed in this year’s 25th issue of Shueisha’s Weekly Shōnen Jump magazine. It was stated that the delay is due to the manga creator Takeru Hokazono’s sudden illness, and that the next chapter will be published on 25 May, 2026 (Japan), in the magazine’s upcoming issue 26.

When is the Kagurabachi manga coming back?
As previously mentioned, the sudden hiatus is due to Hokazono’s health issues and is only one week long. The series will publish its next chapter on Monday 25 May, 2026 in Japan (Sunday, 24 May, 2026 globally). Fans can read the upcoming chapter in English on the Manga Plus and Viz Media platforms.
The official X (formerly Twitter) account of the Kagurabachi manga has released a short side-story chapter focusing on Soya Sazanami. Unfortunately, we don’t know when and if this chapter will be published in English.
What is Kagurabachi about?
Takeru Hokazono’s manga Kagurabachi began publishing in the Weekly Shōnen Jump magazine in September 2023, and has 11 volumes released so far. It has also been announced that the popular shōnen manga is getting an anime adaptation by Cypic in April 2027. Viz Media publishes the series in English and describes the story as:
