Anime Expo 2026 is taking place in Los Angeles, USA from 2-5 July.
The upcoming anime “Jaadugar: A Witch in Mongolia” is set to debut worldwide sometime in July 2026. Ahead of the release, Episodes 1 and 2 of the show will premiere at Anime Expo 2026, taking place on 3 July, 2026.
Unfortunately, the exact release date for streaming services hasn’t been announced yet.

When is Jaadugar: A Witch in Mongolia anime premiering?
The first two episodes of the series will be shown at the Anime Expo 2026 on 3 July. The Anime Expo event is taking place from 2-5 July in Los Angeles, USA. However, only a select few fans who attend the event are going to be able to see it. Unfortunately, the exact date for the worldwide premiere of the anime hasn’t been announced yet.
Previously it was announced that the series has also been selected for the TV Films competition category at the Annecy International Animation Film Festival. The event will take place in France from 21-27 June, 2026.

Abel Gongora directs the Jaadugar: A Witch in Mongolia anime at Science SARU, with Naoko Yamada overseeing the project as chief director. Kenichi Yoshida is the character designer and chief animation director, while Kanichi Katō writes and oversees the scripts. Koshiro Hino is composing the music for the series.
What is Jaadugar: A Witch in Mongolia about?
The anime is based on Tomato Soup’s manga A Witch’s Life in Mongol (Tenmaku no Jardougal), which began serialising in Akita Shoten’s Souffle website in September 2021. Yen Press publishes the manga in English and describes the story as:
