The new trailer gives us a look at the protagonist Sitara and her journey in the desert land of Mongolia. The series has also been selected for the TV Films competition category at the Annecy International Animation Film Festival. The event will take place in France from 21-27 June, 2026.
Abel Gongora directs Jaadugar: A Witch in Mongolia anime at Science SARU, with Naoko Yamada overseeing the project as chief director. Kenichi Yoshida is the character designer and chief animation director, while Kanichi Katō writes and oversees the scripts. Koshiro Hino is composing the music for the series.
What is the story of Jaadugar: A Witch in Mongolia?
The anime is based on Tomato Soup’s manga A Witch’s Life in Mongol (Tenmaku no Jardougal), which began serialising in Akita Shoten’s Souffle website in September 2021. Yen Press publishes the manga in English and describes the story as:
