Yoshihiro Togashi’s popular manga “Hunter x Hunter” is finally returning this month with new chapters. The 30th issue of Shueisha’s Weekly Shōnen Jump magazine announced that the new chapter of the series will be released in the magazine’s next issue on 29 June.
Previously, it was announced the 39th compiled volume of Hunter x Hunter will ship on 3 July, and it will collect Chapters 401-410, which were published in 2024.

When is the Hunter x Hunter manga coming back?
The official website of the Weekly Shōnen Jump magazine announced that Hunter x Hunter’s new chapter will be published in its 31st issue, to be released on 29 June. However, it has not been announced how many chapters we will get before another hiatus. Fans will be able to read the manga’s 411th chapter soon on Viz Media and MANGA Plus.
Why did the Hunter x Hunter manga go on hiatus?
Hunter x Hunter has been known for its long hiatuses due to the creator Yoshihiro Togashi’s health issues. In 2023, it was announced that the manga will be taken off of its weekly schedule due to the frequent breaks. Since then, some chapters have been released in 2023 and 2024. Unfortunately, for the last year, no new chapters of the Hunter x Hunter manga have come out. However, Togashi has teased storyboards of the upcoming chapters on his official X (formerly Twitter) account. So far, he has announced that he has completed the manuscript until Chapter 421, and character inking until Chapter 431.
What is Hunter x Hunter about?
The manga series began publication in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump magazine in March 1998. It has been adapted into two anime series, two anime movies, several OVAs, and multiple stage plays. Viz Media publishes the manga in English and describes the story as:
Gon might be a country boy, but he has high aspirations. Despite his Aunt Mito's protests, Gon decides to follow in his father's footsteps and become a legendary Hunter. The Hunter hopefuls begin their journey by storm-tossed ship, where Gon meets Leorio and Kurapika, the only other applicants who aren't devastated by bouts of seasickness.
