The new manga’s name is 2-nen B-gumi Yusha Destroyers.
Hideaki Sorachi, creator of the popular comedy manga “Gintama”, is set to launch a new manga in Shueisha’s Weekly Shōnen Jump magazine in April. The new manga is titled 2-nen B-gumi Yusha Destroyers (Class 2-B Hero Destroyers), and will begin serialising on 20 April, 2026. Fans are excited as this is Sorachi’s first manga since Gintama ended in 2019.

When is Hideaki Sorachi’s new manga coming?
The new manga by Sorachi is a part of a three-week long lineup of new manga series. The first one is Roku no Okashina Ie (Roku’s Strange House) by Mitsutoshi Nakamura, which will begin serialising in Weekly Shōnen Jump’s 19th issue on 6 April, 2026. Nakamura is the author of the popular series Agravity Boys (2019-2021).
The next one is Natsu to Hotarukago (Summer and the Firefly Cage) by Masayoshi Sato, which will begin on the next issue #20 on 13 April, 2026. Masayoshi Sato is also the author of the Momiji no Kisetsu manga series.
Finally, we have Hideaki Sorachi’s new manga 2-nen B-gumi Yusha Destroyers (Class 2-B Hero Destroyers), which will start in the 21st issue, to be released on 20 April, 2026. Colour illustrations for all three manga were revealed alongside the announcement.
Hideaki Sorachi began his manga career with one-shot Dandelion in 2002. Dandelion is getting an anime adaptation which will begin streaming on Netflix on 16 April, 2026. His most popular series Gintama began in 2003 and ended in 2019. It was also adapted into one of the most popular comedy anime series of all time in 2006 and has been followed up by multiple sequels, spin-offs, anime films, and live-action movies.
