The movie will premiere sometime in 2026.
CloverWorks’s upcoming original anime movie “GROTESQQQUE” has revealed 35 music artists who will be contributing to the film. This includes singer-songwrites, composers, idols, bands, and even Vocaloid producers. Previously, it was revealed that the film will premiere sometime in 2026 and contain three different stories with different worldviews.

What do we know about GROTESQQQUE so far?
Atsushi Nishigori, known for The IDOLM@STER and DARLING in the FRANXX, is directing, writing, and designing the characters for the movie. The film is being animated and produced by JOEN, a company jointly established by Sony Media subsidiary Aniplex and its CloverWorks animation studio, Wit Studio, and the publishing company Shueisha. Yuichi Fukushima from CloverWorks and Tetsuya Nakatake from Wit Studio are the representatives of JOEN.
It’s an omnibus of three different stories titled ÆLIENS, 4649GIRL, and NOCTURNE: NUIT GROTESQUE.

Unfortunately, the production team is yet to reveal which VA will voice which character.
The ÆLIENS story follows an alien girl who teams up with a public servant from the Space Bureau to find “friends”. The second installment 4649GIRL follows a battle royale where girls compete to win the 4649GIRL game. Lastly, NOCTURNE: NUIT GROTESQUE follows three girls surviving a post-apocalyptic world after they were infected by a vampire bite.
