Four members of the Nogizaka46 music group have joined the cast.
The upcoming original omnibus anime movie “GROTESQQQUE” directed by Atsushi Nishigori and animated by CloverWorks has just unveiled a massive 14-member cast. The official X (formerly Twitter) account of the movie also revealed the characters with colourless illustrations, but didn’t mention which cast member will be voicing which character. The cast includes voice actors, idols, actors, models, and musical artists. The movie’s release date is yet unknown, but it’s set to premiere sometime in 2026.

Who are handling the GROTESQQQUE movie production?
Atsushi Nishigori, known for The IDOLM@STER and DARLING in the FRANXX, is directing, writing, and designing the characters for the movie. The director’s comment states (machine translated):
This film is packed with a wide variety of things that I personally "love," and I reached out to people who are active in various genres to take part in it. I am so excited for all of them to join us. I can't wait for the day when we can share it with everyone.
The film is being animated and produced by JOEN, a company jointly established by Sony Media subsidiary Aniplex and its CloverWorks animation studio, Wit Studio, and the publishing company Shueisha. Yuichi Fukushima from CloverWorks and Tetsuya Nakatake from Wit Studio are the representatives of JOEN.
