The theme songs of the series have also been revealed.
The upcoming anime series Champignon Witch (Champignon no Majo) just introduced four new characters and their voice actors. Previously, it was announced that the anime will air in January 2026, and the main two characters of the series were revealed. Moreover, the recent update also unveiled details about the theme songs of the anime.
Champignon Witch anime new cast, staff, and other details
The four new characters who have been introduced are:
- Jun Fukushima as Claude
- Emiri Katō as Minos
- Miho Okasaki as Merino
- Misato Fukuen as Sisi
Previously announced main cast members of the anime are:
- Haruka Shiraishi as Luna
- Yuki Sakakihara as Lize
The opening theme song of the Champignon Witch anime ‘Maho Tsukai no Nikki’ is being performed by ROSU. The ending theme song ‘Kimi wa’ is being performed by Ms. OOJA.
Yōsuke Kubo directs the anime at TYPHOON GRAPHICS and Qzil.la. Yuko Kakihara handles series composition while Miki Matsumoto designs the characters.
The anime is based on the manga series written and illustrated by Tachibana Higuchi, who is also known for her Gakuen Alice manga.
The story of Champignon no Majo follows Luna, a witch living deep in a forest alone. Her skin and breath are poisonous to humans and poison mushrooms grow in places she walks, earning her the name ‘Mushroom Witch’. The townspeople want to avoid her as much as possible, even though she often makes life-saving medicines for them in the hopes of creating connections with them. However things seem to change when she has a dreamlike encounter with another human.
