The spectacular box office of the Chainsaw Man – The Movie: Reze Arc anime film continues to grow. In the previous week, it was dethroned from the top spot by the newest arrival, the JUJUTSU KAISEN: Execution -Shibuya Incident x The Culling Game Begins- film. However, CSM took back its top spot this weekend, and also grossed over JPY8.7 billion (approximately US$ 56.45 million) in total at the Japanese box office.

The Chainsaw Man – The Movie: Reze Arc was theatrically released in Japan on 19 September, 2025. Within just 59 days of its release, the film has amassed a revenue of JPY8.7 billion (approximately US$ 56.45 million) in Japan. Not only that, it also took back its #1 spot at the Japanese box-office on the new JJK’s movie’s second weekend.
It has been revealed that the Reze Arc film has a total of 5.72 million admissions so far, which helped the massive revenue number. With the 8.7 billion Yen box-office, it has also surpassed The Matrix, to become the 76th in the all-time Japanese box-office ranking. Surprisingly, the Demon Slayer movie, which came out back in July, still continues to hold a space at the box-office. This weekend, it took the fourth spot in the overall ranking.
The Chainsaw Man – The Movie: Reze Arc adapts the Reze Arc of the original Chainsaw Man manga by Tatsuki Fujimoto. Tatsuya Yoshihara directed the film at MAPPA with Hiroshi Seko as the screenwriter and Kazutaka Sugiyama as the character designer. The other staff members of this film includes:

The story of the movie follows Chainsaw Man’s protagonist Denji as he meets a beautiful girl named Reze and feels attracted to her.
