Part 2 of Tatsuki Fujimoto’s manga will end with chapter 232.
In February, it was hinted at by “Chainsaw Man” manga editor Shihei Lin, that the second part of the manga is coming to an end. A few weeks later, it has been confirmed that the Chainsaw Man Part 2 ‘Gakkō-hen’ (School Arc) is ending on 25 March, 2026. The next chapter, Chapter 232, will be the last update of the manga…for now.
Chainsaw Man Part 2 ending details
Chapter 231 of the manga came out on the Shonen Jump+ website on 10 March, and confirmed that the second part will end with the next update, slated for 25 March. Later, the official X (formerly Twitter) account of the Chainsaw Man manga also confirmed that chapter 232 of the series will be the last update of Part 2.
Fans are understandably heartbroken by this news, as the story of Chainsaw Man just reached a very interesting and concerning twist. It remains to be seen what happens to Denji and Pochita. That’s why, it’s highly likely that the series will return sometime later with a 3rd part. However, there is no confirmation for that as of yet.
Tatsuki Fujimoto, the author of the controversial Fire Punch manga, began serialising Chainsaw Man in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump magazine in December 2018. The first part of the series, the Public Safety arc, came to an end in December 2020. The second and current School arc began serialising in July 2022 in the Shonen Jump+ platform. As of February 2026, the chapters of the Chainsaw Man manga have been collected into 23 volumes.
The anime adaptation of the series by MAPPA released its first season from October to December 2022. An anime movie adapting the Reze arc of the manga, came out in September 2025 and was widely acclaimed worldwide. The second season of the anime has also been confirmed.
