Chainsaw Man Volume 23 has been released.
Is Tatsuki Fujimoto’s masterpiece “Chainsaw Man” coming to an end? From a new X post by one of the manga editors Shihei Lin, that seems to be the case. Although no confirmation is out yet, it looks like Part 2 of the Chainsaw Man manga might be reaching its conclusion soon.
Chainsaw Man Part 2 might be heading towards a climax
The 23rd tankōbon volume of the Chainsaw Man manga was released on 4 February, 2026 and Shuhei Lin’s post was made to celebrate that. But the editor also mentioned that the story has finally reached its core. This hints that after Denji’s long-awaited fight with the War Devil, the second arc of the manga will end.
With the Death Devil and other dangerous entities still lurking around, fans are hoping that a 3rd part will be announced after part 2 ends. However, none of this has been confirmed yet. The readers will have to patiently wait and see how this arc reaches its conclusion.
Tatsuki Fujimoto’s Chainsaw Man manga began in December 2018 and the first part ended in December 2020. The second part began in July 2022 and is currently still running. The first season of the anime adaptation by MAPPA was broadcast from October to December 2022. An anime film titled Chainsaw Man – The Movie: Reze Arc came out in September 2025. The second season of the anime has been announced. Viz Media publishes the manga in English and describes the story as:
Denji’s a poor young man who’ll do anything for money, even hunting down devils with his pet devil Pochita. He’s a simple man with simple dreams, drowning under a mountain of debt. But his sad life gets turned upside down one day when he’s betrayed by someone he trusts. Now with the power of a devil inside him, Denji’s become a whole new man—Chainsaw Man!
