The second season of the magical girl anime is set to air in July 2026.
It has been announced by the official website and social media sites of the “Magilumiere Magical Girls Inc.” anime that Yumiri Hanamori is stepping down from her role as Hitomi Koshigaya. The second season of the anime will premiere in July 2026, although the exact release date remains unknown.

The announcement states that Yumiri Hanamori’s decision to leave the anime ahead of the second season was a mutual agreement after a request from her talent agency. However, the exact reason for her departure was not disclosed. The anime hasn’t yet announced who will be taking over the role in the second season either.
The second season of Magilumiere Magical Girls Inc. was announced back in July 2025 after the original manga came to an end. Toshinori Fukushima directs Season 2 of the series at J.C. Staff, replacing Masahiro Hiroaka from season 1. Michiko Yokote is writing the scripts while Masahiro Fuji is the chief animation director.
The anime is based on a manga series written by Sekka Iwata and illustrated by Yu Aoki. It was serialised on the Shonen Jump+ platform from October 2021 to July 2025. It has 160 chapters in total. Manga Plus publishes the digital version of the manga in English while Viz Media publishes the print. Viz describes the story as:
