A brand new key visual has also been revealed.
The upcoming romcom anime series Yowayowa Sensei just revealed a massive update. It was announced that the anime will begin airing in April 2026. The main voice cast and staff of the show were also introduced on the anime’s official website, along with a key visual of the central character Hiyori Hiwamura.

The two main voice cast members of this anime are:
- Akihito Abikura voiced by Kakeru Hatano (Nijirou Nanase in Blue Lock, Akihito Miyoshi in Wind Breaker)
- Hiyori Hiwamura voiced by Marika Kōno (Silence Suzuka in Uma Musume Pretty Derby, Seiha Shiunji in The Shiunji Family Children)
Hiroshi Ishiodori directs the anime at Brains Base with Yoshifumi Fukushima writing and overseeing the scripts. Naoki Aisaka designs the characters while Akifumi Tada and Rina Tayama compose the music. The anime is based on the manga series by Kamio Fukuchi. The creator drew a celebratory illustration for the anime adaptation.
The story of the anime revolves around Hiyori Hiwamura, a newly assigned teacher at a high school. She is known amongst her students as ‘KowaKowa Sensei’ (Scary Scary Teacher). But in reality, she’s actually ‘Yowa Yowa Sensei’ (Weak Weak Teacher), with no stamina, strength, or health. One day, Akihito Abikura, who is the student in charge of Hiyori's class, learns her secret and vows to help her. The two of them get up to various shenanigans in the school and become closer.
