How is Yowamushi Pedal celebrating its 100th volume?
Yowamushi Pedal just became the fastest manga series to reach the 100 volume milestone in shōnen manga history. The cover for the new volume features Sakamichi, Imaizumi, and Naruko, which is an homage to the first volume cover created by Wataru Watanabe.
Moreover, the Weekly Shōnen Champion magazine, where the manga has been serialised for the last 18 years, also celebrated the occasion by featuring the main characters of Yowamushi Pedal on the cover of their 23rd issue which came out on 7 May. The commemorative issue also includes a massive poster with anniversary illustrations and the book covers of all 100 volumes.
Multiple events and pop-up stores have been announced, and congratulatory messages from several people connected with the manga and anime have also been revealed. The Yowamushi Pedal anime’s character designer Yukiko Ban has also released a commemorative illustration congratulating the manga team for this milestone.
Many other popup stores, merch, and special goodies have been announced for fans. You can keep an eye on the X (formerly Twitter) account of the manga for additional details.

For the love of all things otaku--anime, video games, figures, you name it! Power-pedaling Sakamichi Onoda has long been conquering the steepest slopes and regularly making the ninety-kilometer round-trip to Akihabara on a mommy bike!! But when his bike commute to his new high school lands him in a confrontation with the serious first-year road racer Imaizumi, Onoda has a major showdown on his hands! Can this meek geek really out-pedal the future ace of the school road-racing team?!
