The upcoming anime movie adaptation of TYPE-MOON’s visual novel “Witch on the Holy Night” has just revealed its main cast and character visuals. The film is set to premiere sometime in 2026, but the exact release date is yet unknown. Ufotable is animating the movie adaptation.

The three main characters and their voice cast are:

Popular animation studio Ufotable (Demon Slayer), is animating the film. However, the staff members working on the project are still unknown.
What is Witch on the Holy Night about?
Witch on the Holy Night is based on a Japanese visual novel developed by TYPE-MOON (Fate/Grand Order, Tsukihime) and released for Windows in 2012. In 2022, a remastered version with better graphics and voice acting was released by Aniplex worldwide on Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 4. Steam currently has the remastered version as well. Witch on the Holy Night is a prequel to Tsukihime, and explores the life of Aoko Aozaki, Shiki Tohno’s master.
The plot of Witch on the Holy Knight follows a boy from the countryside who moves to the city to enroll in high school. He crosses paths with two modern-day witches who live in a mansion on a hill, but one of them is an apprentice. As their different worlds collide, a mysterious and emotional story begins to unfold.
