Witch and Mercenary is set to premiere in April 2027.
The official website for the television anime adaptation of Kaeru Chouhoukiteki’s Witch and Mercenary light novel has revealed additional cast members, staff, a second teaser visual, and the first promotional video.
The anime is scheduled to premiere across 30 NTV stations and BS NTV in April 2027. Details for streaming are yet to be revealed.

What is Witch and Mercenary about?
The “Witch and Mercenary” anime adapts the light novel series written by Kaeru Chohokiteki and illystrated by Bench Kanase.
The novels began serialisation on the user-generated novel publishing website Shosetsuka ni Naro in June 2021, before being acquired by Micro Magazine. The series would then be published under its GCN Bunko imprint in May 2023. The series is licensed in English by Seven Seas Entertainment.
A manga adaptation illustrated by Makoto Miyagi would soon follow, and will begin serialisation on Kodansha's Magazine Pocket manga website in January 2024. The English version of the manga is available to read through Kodansha's KManga app, which describes the story as:
Zig—a tall, broad-shouldered mercenary—participates in a witch hunt. Following a fierce duel with the deadly witch, he becomes privy to her desire. “I want you to protect me,” she requests, tired of having her life trivialized. Seeking a place to survive, the witch and the mercenary set their sights on an unknown continent!
