Voice actor Takahiro Fujiwara has passed away at the age of 43.
The news was announced through the official website of talent agency Ken Production today, 21 May. According to the statement, Fujiwara passed away on 14 May, although circumstances regarding his passing has not been revealed.
A private funeral was held before the announcement was made, in accordance to Fujiwara's family's wishes.

Who was Takahiro Fujiwara?
Takahiro Fujiwara was born in Hokkaido on the 15th of July, 1982. According to his talent profile on Ken Production's official website, Fujiwara enjoyed cooking, playing video games and soccer, strength training, and looking for UFOs. A description of him in his talent profile describes him as “a complete homebody and makes every effort to stay indoors.”
The website further describes him as “his appearance and voice sometimes make him seem like a villain beyond just a bad guy, but he himself thinks he's actually quite cute.”
Fujiwara worked as a voice actor on a number of anime shows, with his most popular role being Kurogiri from My Hero Academia. He also voiced in titles like Leviathan (2025), Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War (2022), Berserk: Golden Age Arc Memorial Edition (2022), Shaman King (2021), to name a few. He is also most remembered for his role as Kouzou Shirogane in the 2015 anime Kuroko's Basket.
Besides voice acting for anime, Fujiwara also worked on dubs and video games. He voiced the character Revenant from Apex Legends.
