Two new cast members have joined the special anime project.
The Undead Unluck anime is bringing an amazing Christmas gift for its fans! The winter special, a one-hour episode, titled Undead Unluck Winter Arc, will air on 25 December, 2025 in Japan. Moreover, two new characters have been revealed for the special, one of whom is an original character who didn’t appear in the manga.

The two new cast members who have joined the project are:
- Tella voiced by Kensho Ono (Ryūnosuke Akutagawa in Bungo Stray Dogs, Yuri Briar in Spy x Family)
- Balance voiced by Takehito Koyasu (Toji Fushiguro in Jujutsu Kaisen, Zeke Jaeger in Attack on Titan)
Between the two new characters, Tella is Billy’s subordinate. On the other hand, Balance is an original character. He’s an UMA who manages the world’s balance.

- Juiz d'Arc voiced by Maria Ise

Seong-Hu Park directs, produces, and acts as the chief storyboard artist for the upcoming special episode at E&H Production. Hideyuki Morioka and Shunichi Ishimoto design the characters, while Gakuto Hajima writes the scripts. Kenichiro Suehiro composes the music.

The anime is based on Yoshifumi Tozuka’s manga series Undead Unluck which began in 2020 and ended in January 2025. The first season of the anime came out back in 2023. Viz Media publishes the manga in English and describes the story as:
All Fuuko wants is a passionate romance like the one in her favorite shojo manga. Unfortunately, her Unluck ability makes that impossible. But just as Fuuko hits rock bottom, Andy sweeps her off her feet—literally! Now she’s become Andy’s unwilling test subject as he works to find a way to trigger a stroke of Unluck big enough to kill him for good. However, when the pair discovers a secret organization is hunting them, it puts Andy’s burial plans on hold.
