The first season of the anime adaptation of Masakuni Igarashi’s romcom manga “Tune In to the Midnight Heart” aired from January to March 2026. The series has finally revealed that it’s coming back with a second season in 2027.
A new key art has been revealed for Tune In to the Midnight Heart Season 2, alongside new characters and cast members. Crunchyroll currently airs the first season of the anime.

Masayuki Takahashi is returning to direct the second season of Tune In to the Midnight Heart at studio Gekkō while Yukie Sugawara is returning to write and oversee the scripts. Tomoyuki Shitaya is continuing as the character designer while Kuniyuki Takahashi returns as the music composer.
Akira Nagasaki is the new colour designer of the anime.

What is Tune In to the Midnight Heart about?
The anime is based on Masakuni Igarashi’s manga series which has been serialised in Kodansha’s Weekly Shōnen Magazine since September 2023.
KManga publishes the series digitally in English and describes the story as:
When Arisu Yamabuki was all alone in bed at night, he was able to find solace in the voice of a radio host who went by “Apollo.” However, one day, she simply stopped broadcasting without any explanation. Years then passed, and Arisu is now a second-year high-schooler. He makes it his mission to search for Apollo, as there is something he wants to tell her. He doesn’t know what she looks like, or even what her real name is, but he manages to get some leads on her in his school’s broadcasting club. That’s where he meets four girls who all dream to get a job where they can make full use of their voices! Just who is Apollo, and how will those four’s dreams pan out?
