The 2022 anime “Trapped in a Dating Sim: The World of Otome Games is Tough for Mobs” is coming back with a second season in 2026. Although the exact date wasn’t revealed, the news was confirmed by the show’s official website and social media accounts. A key visual and new character designs for the series were also revealed. The first season of the anime currently streams on Crunchyroll.

Other than the 2026 release, no other details about the upcoming season have been confirmed yet. New character designs have been revealed for the four main characters of the anime.
The cast are:
- Takeo Ōtsuka as Leon
- Kana Ichinose as Olivia
- Fairouz Ai as Angelica
- Ayane Sakura as Marie
Kazuya Miura is returning to direct the second season of the anime at Studio ENGI. Kenta Ihara handles series composition while Masahiko Suzuki is the character designer and chief animation director. Kana Hashiguchi and Sho Aratame are composing the music for the anime. Other staff members of the anime are:

The anime is based on a light novel series written by Yomu Mishima and illustrated by Monda. A manga adaptation by Jun Shiosato has also been published. Seven Seas Entertainment publishes the novel in English and described the story as:
