It was previously announced that the 2022 isekai fantasy anime “Trapped in a Dating Sim: The World of Otome Games is Tough for Mobs” is coming back with a Season 2 this year. A new trailer and key visual for the anime revealed that the series will air in July 2026. The teaser also gave fans a glimpse of what to expect from Season 2.

The sequel season will air sometime in July 2026. The main returning cast of the anime includes:

Kazuya Miura is returning to direct the second season of the anime at Studio ENGI. Kenta Ihara handles series composition while Masahiko Suzuki is the character designer and chief animation director. What is Trapped in a Dating Sim: The World of Otome Games is Tough for Mobs about?
The anime is based on a light novel series written by Yomu Mishima and illustrated by Monda. The series began in the user-generated website Shōsetsuka ni Narō in 2017. Latter, it was acquired by Micro Magazine, and began being published under their GC Novels imprint in 2018. A manga adaptation by Jun Shiosato has also been published. The first season of the anime aired in 2022.
Seven Seas Entertainment publishes the novel in English and described the story as:
Office worker Leon is reincarnated into a dating sim video game, where women reign supreme and only beautiful men have a seat at the table. But Leon has a secret weapon: he remembers everything from his past life, which includes a complete playthrough of the very game in which he is now trapped.
