Leon is finally returning this summer.
A new key visual, a new cast member, and the official premiere date for Season 2 of “Trapped in a Dating Sim: The World of Otome Games is Tough for Mobs” has been unveiled through its official website and social media accounts. The sequel season is scheduled to broadcast in Japan on 8 July, 2026.

Who is the new cast member in “Trapped in a Dating Sim” Season 2?
The latest casting announcement reveals that Yui Ogura will voice Hertrauda Sera Fanoss, the younger sister of Hertrude and the second princess of the Principality of Fanoss.
The main returning cast includes:
- Takeo Ōtsuka as Leon
- Kana Ichinose as Olivia
- Fairouz Ai as Angelica
- Ayane Sakura as Marie
- Akira Ishida as Luxion
Who is making “Trapped in a Dating Sim” Season 2?
Kazuya Miura returns to direct the second season at ENGI.
Series composition is once again handled by Kenta Ihara, while Masahiko Suzuki returns as character designer and chief animation director.
The first season aired in Spring 2022 and was streamed internationally by Crunchyroll. It is unconfirmed if Crunchyroll will stream Season 2.
What is “Trapped in a Dating Sim” about?
The anime is based on a light novel series written by Yomu Mishima and illustrated by Monda. The series began in the user-generated website Shōsetsuka ni Narō in 2017. Later, it was acquired by Micro Magazine, and began publishing under their GC Novels imprint in 2018. A manga adaptation by Jun Shiosato has also been published. The first season of the anime aired in 2022.
Seven Seas Entertainment publishes the novel in English, and describes the story as:
Office worker Leon is reincarnated into a dating sim video game, where women reign supreme and only beautiful men have a seat at the table. But Leon has a secret weapon: he remembers everything from his past life, which includes a complete playthrough of the very game in which he is now trapped. Can Leon spark a revolution to change this new world order?
