A brand new teaser visual and main production staff have also been revealed.
The upcoming fantasy anime series “The World's Strongest Rearguard: Labyrinth Country's Novice Seeker” will premiere in July 2026. Although the exact release date is yet unknown, the show’s official website and social media accounts revealed a new key visual, along with main cast and staff details.

The cast members who have been announced so far are:
- Yoshitsugu Matsuoka as Arihito
- Aoi Koga as Theresia
- Sakura Nakamura as Kyōka
- Yui Ishikawa as Elitia
- Saori Hayami as Suzuna
Yūji Yanase directs the anime at Maho Film, with Deko Akao handling the scripts. Eriko Yanagimoto is the main character designer.
“The World's Strongest Rearguard: Labyrinth Country's Novice Seeker” anime is based on a light novel series written by Toowa and illustrated by Huuka Kazabana. It first started as a web novel on the user generated publication platform Shōsetsuka ni Narō in 2017. Later, Fujimi Shobo began publishing it under their Kadokawa Books imprint in the same year. A manga adaptation illustrated by Rikizo began serialisation on Kadokawa’s ComicWalker platform in 2018.
Yen Press publishes the light novels in English and describes the story as:
Corporate slave Arihito Atobe’s death in a freak bus accident marks the beginning of his new life as a kind of adventurer called a Seeker.
