Ahead of the Japanese release of its eighth episode, the “The Villager of Level 999” anime unveiled two new cast members. In Japan, the episode, titled ‘Incompatible’, will air on 19 August, 2026. But as Crunchyroll releases new episodes a week earlier, the new episode is already available to watch on the platform.

What is The Villager of Level 999 about?
The anime is based on a light novel series written by Koneko Hoshitsuki and illustrated by Fuumi. It began publishing on the website Shōsetsuka ni Narō in 2015 and ended in 2018. Kadokawa’s Enterbrain published the novel in print format with illustrations from 2016 to 2019. Kadokawa also began publishing a manga adaptation illustrated by Kenichi Iwamoto in their Comp Ace magazine in 2017. MangaPlaza publishes the manga in English.
