A new trailer has been released for the upcoming battle anime “The Vermilion Mask” (Shuiro no Kamen). As per the new update, the first cour of the anime will premiere on 10 October, 2026. Moreover, the new video also unveiled new cast, and theme song details. Crunchyroll will stream the anime as it airs. The anime was previously revealed to be set for two parts.

The first cour of the anime will premiere on 10 October, and Crunchyroll will stream it as it airs. Crunchyroll will also give this anime an early theatrical premiere on 21 September in select theatres across the US.

The new trailer previews the anime’s opening theme song ‘Firestarter’ performed by MAN WITH A MISSION, and the ending theme song ‘Koe’ performed by yutori.
Tetsuaki Watanabe directs the series at 100studio with Gai Hazako as the assistant director. Daisuke Ohigashi handles series composition while Hisashi Higashijima is the character designer and chief animation director. Nabana Naba and Dr. Poro are the story supervisors. Arisa Okehazama is composing the music for the series.

The battle fantasy anime is based on the manga series written by Dr.Poro and illustrated by Nabana Naba. It started publishing in February 2021 in Shōnen Gahōsha's Young King OURs magazine. The official anime website describes its story as (machine translated):
