The popular queer horror manga “The Summer Hikaru Died” (Hikaru ga Shinda Natsu) will end in just two more chapters. The two final chapters will be released in October. The manga is created by Mokumokuren and received an anime adaptation in 2025.

When is The Summer Hikaru Died manga ending?
As per the official X (formerly Twitter) account of The Summer Hikaru Died manga, the 50th chapter of the series will be published on 13 October, while the 51st and final episode will be published on 20 October.
The manga is published in Kadokawa Shoten’s Young Ace Up website and the Comic Walker manga platform. Mokumokuren began serialising the manga in 2021, and it has nine volumes so far. The series received an anime adaptation by Cypic in July 2025. Netflix currently streams the anime.
Yen Press releases the manga volumes in English and describes the story as:
