The anime is based on Ominaeshi’s manga series.
It was announced by the official X (formerly Twitter) account of Manga Time Kirara that Ominaeshi’s reverse-isekai manga series “The Sado Life of Rosé the Witch”(Mahōtsukai Rosé no Sado Life) is getting an anime adaptation.

To celebrate the anime adaptation, the April issue of the Manga Time Kirara Forward magazine includes an illustration of the two main characters of the series on the cover page.
Unfortunately, no other details about the anime have been announced. But please keep an eye on our page as we’ll update you as soon as cast, staff, and release date details are available.
The manga creator Ominaeshi has also released a celebratory illustration on their X (formerly Twitter) account. The caption of the post states:

Ominaeshi’s manga began publication in the Manga Time Kirara Forward magazine in August 2022. As of July 2025, it has been compiled into five tankōbon volumes by Houbunsha. The sixth volume is set to be released on 12 March.
The story of the manga revolves around a witch named Rosé. After being treated as an outcast for having jet black hair, Rosé decides she has had enough and uses her powers to move to another world. Somehow, she ends up in modern-day Japan on the island of Sado. When Rosé is attacked by a bird, a local girl named Sana helps her. She also invites the witch to live with her while she gets used to her new life in the modern world.
