Additional cast members have also been revealed in the new promo video.

A new promo video has been released for the upcoming “The Prince of Tennis II: U-17 World Cup Finals Members Decisive Match” (Shin Tennis no Ōji-sama U-17 World Cup Kesshō Member Ketteisen), which revealed the anime’s 30 September premiere. New cast members for the upcoming season have also been announced. The anime is a direct sequel to The Prince of Tennis II U-17 World Cup Semifinal that came out in October 2024.

The anime sequel premieres on 30 September, 2026.

The new cast members of the anime are:

  • Tasuku Hatanaka as Julio Roman
  • Reiji Kawashima as Mares de Colón
  • Ryuho Nagaoka as Silva Serra Banbieri
  • Megumi Han as Sedah 

It was previously announced that popular actor Yū Shirota will voice Romeo Fernandez in the upcoming season. 

The new trailer previews the anime’s opening theme song ‘Walls And Bridges’ by the four-member unit Aosu comprised of Ryōma Echizen (voiced by Junko Minagawa), Kunimitsu Tezuka (voiced by Ryōtarō Okiayu), Syusuke Fuji (voiced by Yuki Kaida), and Shuichiro Ōishi (voiced Takayuki Kondō). 

The ending theme of the series is ‘Kinkanshoku phenomenal’ performed by Keigo Atobe (voiced by Junichi Suwabe) and Yūshi Oshitari (voiced by Hidenobu Kiuchi). 

What is Prince of Tennis about?

The Prince of Tennis anime and its subsequent sequels are all based on Takeshi Konomi’s manga series of the same name. The manga was serialized in Shueisha's Weekly Shōnen Jump magazine from July 1999 to March 2008. Viz Media publishes the series in English.
