On 27 May, the third volume of the Blu-ray Disc and DVD release of the anime was shipped, and the new OVA episode was included in it. A few days later on 2 June, Crunchyroll added the new episode to its roster. The anime is based on the light novel series written by Yatsuki Wakatsu and illustrated by Kikka Ohashi. A manga adaptation illustrated by Kazuki Irodori has been released as well.
Yen Press publishes both the novel and manga in English and describes the story as:
One day, twenty-nine-year-old accountant Seiichiro Kondo is accidentally transported to another world.
