The BL anime will air in January 2026.
The upcoming BL anime series The Other World's Books Depend on the Bean Counter just revealed its additional cast. The series is set to air in January 2026, although the exact release date hasn’t been revealed yet. The seventh volume of the manga adaptation of the original novel has also been released.

The four new cast members who have joined the anime are:
- Julius voiced by Tomohiro Yamaguchi
- Yua Shiraishi voiced by Yuna Kamakura
- Ist voiced by Takaaki Torashima
- Siegvold voiced by Yūki Ono
The previously announced main cast of the anime includes:
- Seiichiro Kondo voiced by Kent Ito
- Aresh Indolark voiced by Tomoaki Maeno
- Norbert voiced by Seiichiro Yamashita
- Kamil voiced by Hiroki Tochi
Shinji Ishihira is set to direct the Boys Love anime at Studio DEEN with Akihiro Yamada taking the role of assistant director. Yoshiko Nakamura is in charge of the scripts while Maki Fuji is designing the characters. Megumi Ohashi is the music composer for the show.
The anime is based on the light novel series written by Yatsuki Wakatsu and illustrated by Kikka Ohashi. A manga adaptation illustrated by Kazuki Irodori has been released as well. The seventh volume of the manga came out on 31 October, 2025.
Yen Press publishes both the novel and manga in English and describes the story as:
