The opening theme song of the series is ‘Hitorigoto’ performed by osage. The ending theme song is ‘Heya to Garakuta to Watashi’ performed by MEminor.
Daiji Iwanaga directs the The Klutzy Class Monitor and the Girl with the Short Skirt anime series at studio Zero-G. Masahiro Yokotani handles series composition and screenplay. Yuji Onishi, Tomoko Kanaharu are also working with Yokotani on the screenplay. Yo Himuro handles character design while also being the chief animation director. Kanki Iwamoto, Hisashi Tenkyu, Takashi Toriyama and Yoshiaki Kitazume are composing the music for the show.
The anime is based on Takuma Yokota’s popular manga, which began serialising in Kodansha's Monthly Shonen Sirius magazine in March 2019. As of December 2025, it has 19 tankōbon volumes. The anime’s website describes its story as (machine translated):
Sakuradaimon is a member of the discipline committee who checks the students' appearance in front of the school gates every morning.
Poemu-chan is a high school girl with an inappropriate skirt length who is stopped every morning during the checks .
The two, who seem like oil and water, suddenly bump into each other one day during extra lessons. Sakuradaimon, who everyone thought was serious and strict, is actually a useless discipline committee member who can't study at all!
