A brand new teaser trailer has been released for the upcoming fantasy, action, romance anime “The Kept Man of the Princess Knight”. The teaser revealed that the series will air in January 2027, and also introduced additional staff members.

Chihiro Kumano directs the series at studio BLADE, with Deko Akao writing the series composition. Hisao Ishi is designing the characters for the anime based on the original light novel character designs by Saki Mashima.

What is The Kept Man of the Princess Knight about?
The anime is based on a light novel series written by Tōru Shirogane and illustrated by Saki Mashima. It began publishing under ASCII Media Works' Dengeki Bunko light novel imprint in February 2022. Kadokawa’s ComicWalker manga website serialised the manga adaptation of the novel by Keyyyang from 2022 to 2024. A sequel series illustrated by Chihiro Yamazaki began on the same website in August 2025.
Yen Press publishes the novels in English and describes the story as:

She and her brave party of adventurers descend into the dungeon at the city's center, seeking a legendary treasure with the power to rebuild the princess's fallen kingdom.
