The official X (formerly Twitter) account of “The Irregular at Magic High School” anime has announced that a ‘Part II’ of the series is currently in production. A new key visual of the main characters Tatsuya and Miyuki has been revealed, saying it will focus on the sibling duo’s “future path”. Unfortunately, the post didn’t reveal anything else about the second part of the anime or what it might entail.

What is The Irregular at Magic High School anime about?
The Irregular at Magic High School anime is based on Tsutomu Satō’s webnovel series, which serialised in the Shōsetsuka ni Narō website from 2008 to 2011. ASCII Media Works' Dengeki Bunko imprint published 32 volumes of the light novel from 2011 to 2020. The first season of the anime, animated by Madhouse, came out in 2014.
An anime film titled The Irregular at Magic High School: The Movie – The Girl Who Summons the Stars, based on an original story by Satō, was released in 2017.
The second season of the anime aired in 2020. After that, a spin-off manga adaptation titled The Honor Student at Magic High School received an anime adaptation by Connect, which aired in 2021. In the same year, the anime adaptation of the original novels’ Reminiscence Arc was announced, which was released as a movie on 31 December, 2021.
The third season of the anime, animated by Eight Bit, came out in 2024. The latest addition to the franchise is a movie titled The Irregular at Magic High School THE MOVIE Yotsuba Succession Arc, which opened in Japan on 8 May, 2026.
