The anime is based on the light novel series written by Tanba and illustrated by Yuunagi. It was serialised in the user-generated website Shōsetsuka ni Narō from 2019 to 2024. It was later acquired by Kadokawa Shoten, who has published sixteen book volumes since 2019. Yukino Amagai created a manga adaptation which has been serialised in Kadokawa Shoten's Young Ace Up website since December 2019.

Arnold, the seventh Imperial Prince of the Adrasia Empire, is known as the "Insipid Prince" due to living in the shadow of his talented twin brother. However, Arnold secretly possesses another identity: Silver, one of only five SS-rank adventurers on the continent.
