The second season of the popular fantasy anime “The Iceblade Sorcerer Shall Rule the World” has released a new teaser trailer. A few days ago, it was revealed that the series will return with new episodes on 8 October, 2026. Some new cast members have also been introduced in the new teaser.

Zero-G is replacing CLOUDHEARTS as the animation studio for the anime’s second season. Masahiro Takata returns from season 1 as director, series composer, script writer, and sound director of the sequel. Tomoko Shinozuka and Takahito Onishi are also serving as script writers. Mariko Kawamoto is replacing Makoto Shimojima as character designer.

What is The Iceblade Sorcerer Shall Rule the World about?
The anime is based on a popular light novel series written by Nana Mikoshiba and illustrated by Riko Korie. It first began as a web novel serialised in the user generated website Shōsetsuka ni Narō in October 2019. Kodansha later acquired the series and began publishing its book volumes under the Kodansha Ranobe Bunko imprint. A manga adaptation illustrated by Norihito Sasaki was serialised from 2020 to 2024 Kodansha's Magazine Pocket platform. The anime adaptation by CLOUDHEARTS aired from January to March 2023.
