A new trailer came out for the upcoming fantasy anime “The Frontier Lord Begins with Zero Subjects”, announcing its July 2026 premiere. Moreover, four new voice actors have joined the cast of the series.

- Taito Ban as Klaus
- Miku Ito as Senai
- Haruka Shiraishi as Aihan
- Jun Fukuyama as Eldan

- Shion Wakayama as Alna
Kenichi Imaizumi directs the anime at animation studio42. Kunihiko Okada serves as the series composer while Keiichi Tsuboyama designs the characters.
The Frontier Lord Begins with Zero Subjects anime is based on a light novel series written by Fuurou and illustrated by Kinta. It began serialisation on the user generated website Shōsetsuka ni Narō in January 2018. It was later published by Earth Star Entertainment under their Earth Star Novel imprint in October 2018. In December 2018, a manga adaptation illustrated by Yumbo began publication on the Comic Earth Star website.
J Novel Club publishes the series in English and describes the story as:
Dias finally returns home after decades of war. He’s hailed a hero and promptly rewarded with his own domain...which turns out to be little more than empty plains. Population: zero. Dias, who has only ever known battle, finds himself at a loss.
