The anime adapts the light novel series by Yoenori.
An official website and X (formerly Twitter) account has been opened for the light novel series “The Forsaken Saintess and Her Foodie Roadtrip in Another World” (Suterare Seijo no Isekai Gohan Tabi), announcing a television anime adaptation slated to premiere within 2026.
The announcement was accompanied by a teaser visual, as well as a reveal of the main cast and staff.

The anime stars:
- Sora Tokui as Rin Takanashi
- Yūki Ono as Vil
Atsushi Nigorikawa directs the anime at EMT Squared. Takashi Aoshima handles series composition. Original illustrator Akane Nitou is credited for the character designs, which are adapted for animation by Izumi Ishii. Ankichi Kobo is credited for production assistance.
Yoneori first launched the story on the Shōsetsuka ni Narō website in 2019. Kadokawa began publishing the light novel series with illustrations by Nitou in 2020. A manga adaptation, illustrated by Nana Kogami, launched on Kadokawa’s ComicWalker website in 2020.
