A brand new trailer for the series has been released.
It was announced back in March 2025 that “The Exiled Heavy Knight Knows How to Game the System” light novel series is getting an anime adaptation. It has finally been revealed that the show will premiere on 2 July, 2026. A brand new trailer showcasing bits of the fantasy anime has been released as well.

The anime will begin airing on 2 July, and will run for two consecutive cours.
The previously announced main voice cast of the series includes:
- Takeo Otsuka as Elma Edvan
- Shion Wakayama as Luce Rubis
- Natsuko Abe as Maris Edvan
Katsumasa Yokomine directs the anime at GoHands, with Shingo Suzuki and Tetsuichi Yamagisi as chief directors. Takayuki Uchida designs the characters. Other staff members include:

The anime is based on the original novel series written by Nekoko and illustrated by Jaian. It first began serialising in the user generated site Shōsetsuka ni Narō in April 2021. In June 2022, Kodansha began publishing the novel in a book format under their Kodansha Ranobe Books light novel imprint. A manga adaptation by Lee Brocco began publishing in Kodansha’s YanMaga Web website in February 2022. Later it was transferred to the Weekly Young Magazine in September 2024.
KManga releases the manga digitally in English and describes the story as:
“You useless son of mine! You were supposed to pull master swordsman, but I never thought it would be this tragic!“
The day a child turns fifteen, they undergo the Ritual of Divine Blessing. Already descended from a line of master swordsmen, Elymas was supposed to succeed his father. With their unbalanced stats and seemingly useless skills, Heavy Knights are spoken of as a class for cowards and the lazy. However, Elymas knows the truth. Using memories from his past life, Elymas has set out to effectively conquer this entire world.
