What is The Cat and the Dragon about?
The anime is based on a fantasy light novel series written by Amara and illustrated by Mai Ōkuma. It was first posted by the author as a series of stories on the Shōsetsuka ni Narō website from 2013 to 2014, before being published as a novel by Takarajimasha in 2016. A manga adaptation by Izumi Sasaki began in 2017.
The story takes place in a fantasy world, where a dragon has been raised by a cat mother among cat siblings. Despite being a dragon, he often behaves like a cat, and thus his weirdly wonderful adventures in this magical land begins.
