From great animation to moving storylines, these titles have got it all.
The Fall 2025 anime season, which began in October of this year, has admittedly been a little lacklustre. Unlike the completely stacked Summer 2025 season, not many new titles were able to wow the audience this time around. However, with the return of some beloved series, and some surprising gems popping up amidst the new shows, there is plenty for you to enjoy every week. Here is a comprehensive list of the best anime titles of the Fall 2025 season–including action, sports, and romance!
10. Spy x Family Season 3
Usually, the Spy x Family anime, based on Tatsuya Endo’s popular manga, would deserve a higher spot in the list. Unfortunately, this season has been a little lacking compared to its preceding seasons. Although the vibes are still immaculate when it comes to the Forger family, and Anya is as cute as ever, the story progression has been rather mundane.
However, the first arc of Season 3 wasn't something to ignore, what with it unveiling Loid's heartbreaking backstory.
9. My Awkward Senpai
Unlike the previous season, Fall 2025 has been a bit lacking in the true romance section. Although there are some adorable titles such as Yano-kun’s Ordinary Days and Pass the Monster Meat, Milady that you should definitely check out, this season’s prime romance series is My Awkward Senpai.
The story follows a competent but scary office worker Azusa Kannawa, and her sweet and charming kouhai Yū Kamegawa, whom she has to train. Kamegawa slowly starts to realise that Kannawa is not scary, she’s actually just really awkward at expressing her feelings. As the two start developing feelings for each other, the workplace banter changes into sweet office romance. It's funny, heartwarming, and a perfect cosy fall treat for all romcom fans.
8. This Monster Wants to Eat Me
If you’re like me and missing The Summer Hikaru Died, then I have an amazing show to recommend to you. Based on Sai Naekawa’s manga series, This Monster Wants to Eat Me follows a girl named Hinako who one day meets a mermaid yōkai named Shiori. Shiori tells her that Hinako’s flesh and blood is like a siren call to the yōkai, and promises to keep her safe from the monsters.
However, this promise comes at a price. Although Shiori fights off the other monsters, her end goal is to eat Hinako herself when she’s at her most delicious. As the two start spending more time together at school, a cruel string of fate seems to pull their hearts together. A delicious mix of Yuri, horror, and twisted love is waiting for you in this anime.
7. To Your Eternity Season 3
Another returning series perfect for the ones who love serene yet heartbreaking stories. The immortal being Fushi is back, and we follow him through the modern era after his centuries-long slumber. The story of the series remains as amazing, sweet, tranquil, yet poignant as ever. If you have always thought about watching To Your Eternity but never could, this is your sign to finally undertake the journey which will touch your soul.
6. May I Ask for One Final Thing?
We are back again with our regularly scheduled shenanigans in the fantasy realm with May I Ask for One Final Thing?
Scarlet El Vandimion is the daughter of a duke who suppresses her violent outbursts for years, and puts up with all the abuse her fiance Kyle von Pallistan, the second prince of the country, put her through. But when the prince breaks off their engagement in front of a crowd in favour of another girl, Scarlet finally lets loose and earns back the nickname of ‘Mad-Dog Noblewoman’.
This series is as hilarious as it is exhilarating. It’s incredibly fun to see a beautiful lady protagonist beating up scum men who abuse others for their own gain. The overarching political story also gives it more depth. Overall, it’s one of this season’s most entertaining shows that you should watch immediately.
5. Campfire Cooking in Another World with My Absurd Skill Season 2
The second season of the wholesome fantasy anime is here, and it’s as adorable and calming as ever! The protagonist Mukoda has acquired a new companion, the pixie-dragon named Dora-chan. Despite lacking an overarching story, the series has gained immense popularity due to its unique nature.
Usually in Isekai stories, we either see the hero gain immeasurable power or see the heroine try to avoid the terrible fate of a villainess. However, in this anime, Mukoda only wants to live a peaceful life. His adventure is joined by Fel, Sui, and now Dora-chan, who all love the tasty food he can cook with his power to online shop in the fantasy world, provides a wholesome and funny atmosphere you can't help but enjoy. Plus, there's the amazingly animated food, too!
4. SANDA
Christmas comes with a twist in this new and unique anime based on Paru Itagaki’s manga series. Set in the year 2080 when the birth rate is declining and children are being forced into arranged marriages, the anime centres around a boy named Sanda. In this world, the concept of Christmas has all been eradicated and Santa Claus has been locked up. But on 25 December, Sanda’s classmate Fuyumura unlocks the seal placed on Sanda and releases the Santa Claus hiding in him.
The two teenagers, one of whom is Santa Claus, set off to find their missing classmate Ono. As they’re made aware of the several powers Santa Clause possesses, more and more twisted truths come to light. Science SARU, much like with DAN DA DAN, did an amazing job with SANDA as well. Due to the amazing animation and unique story, this anime has earned a high spot on the list.
3. Uma Musume: Cinderella Gray Cour 2
Uma Musume: Cinderella Gray is back with its second cour after a three-month break. If you missed this anime after it last came out in June, then it’s the perfect time to catch up with our favourite wild horse girl Oguri Cap.
In the second cour, Oguri Cap vows to win against Tamamo Cross as Umas get ready for the Japan Cup. As always, the emotions are running high in this horse racing anime, and it’s enough to keep your blood pumping. If you still haven’t watched the original Uma Musume Pretty Derby anime, then now’s the perfect chance to catch up with everything.
2. GACHIAKUTA Cour 2
Although it’s a continuation from the Summer 2025 season, Gachiakuta has earned a place in this list due to an intriguing storyline, impressive worldbuilding, and amazing animation. Based on Kei Urana’s manga, the series follows Rudo, who is thrown into the Pit surrounding their above-ground city after being falsely accused of killing his adoptive father. Below, Rudo finds people who have been living in the trash for millenia and discovers that his gloves have special powers, much like some of the people of the Ground.
In the recent episodes, we were introduced to some amazing characters such as Amo and Arkha. As more people join the story, the anime’s plot thickens and becomes darker. If you love dark fantasy and dystopian themes, then this anime is perfect for you.
1. My Hero Academia FINAL SEASON
The crown jewel of the Fall 2025 season has to be the 8th and final season of My Hero Academia. With Izuku and his allies facing All For One and Shigaraki in the final life-or-death battle, the stakes are through the roof. Filled with action and rife with emotions, this final season brings the more-than-a-decade long journey to its exhilirating finale.
Studio Bones has done a tremendous job of bringing Kohei Horikoshi’s manga to life in the last few years. But it seems that the animators have outdone themselves this season. If you are someone that has been waiting to watch My Hero Academia, then it’s the perfect time for you to catch up with the series as a spectacular finale is waiting for you! Get ready to cry and cheer for the heroes as they take on their hardest challenge yet.
