What is Yurayura Q about?
Gido Amagakure’s manga Yurayura Q began serialising in Hakusensha’s The Hana to Yume magazine in October 2019. A total of five collected tankōbon volumes have been published so far.
The anime’s website and X account describe the story as (machine translated):
Kyuuko is a fox girl born to a divine fox and a human. Her eight older siblings adore the cute Kyuuko!
However, Kyuuko herself worries about being ‘ordinary’ compared to her beautiful and talented siblings. She can't even use her fox shapeshifting powers to her advantage.
Her childhood friend Haru tells her that she finds every part of Kyuuko charming and loves her, but Kyuuko's heart quickly becomes flustered and begins wavering. It's hard to love yourself just the way you are!
Humans, foxes, divine messengers, and gods—everyone has their own worries. So, little fox girl Kyuuko is always striving for everyone's sake, and for her own! The heartwarming comedy of the wavering Kyuuko begins!
Gido Amagakure is known for two other manga series titled Sweetness & Lightning and A Galaxy Next Door. Both of these titles received anime adaptations in 2016 and 2023.
