The buddy cop comedy is one to look forward to for the Fall anime season.

The upcoming Super Psychic Policeman Chojo (Chōjun! Chōjō Senpai) anime has confirmed its premiere date, with the comedy series set to begin airing in Japan on 6 October, 2026.

The anime will broadcast on Kansai TV, Fuji TV, and their affiliated stations nationwide every Monday at 11:00 p.m. JST. No international streaming platform has been announced at the time of writing.

What is Super Psychic Policeman Chojo about?

The anime series has listed Junichi Yamamoto as director at Arvo Animation. Hayashi Mori is in charge of series composition and scripts, while Masakatsu Sasaki designs the characters. 

The main cast are:

  • Rishin Aone as Ipponki Naoshi
  • Maria Naganawa as Robo-kun
  • Daisuke Ono as Yuki Inukai
  • Toshiya Miyata as Hajime Ena-in

The manga by Shun Numa started serialisation in 2024, and concluded a year later in 2025. Viz Media publishes the English translated version of the manga, and describes the story as:

On her first day at the West Chinjuku Police Station, Ippongi realises she got the short end of the stick: Her new partner, Chojo, uses his psychic powers to do everything except work. But after some yakuza threaten to take over Ippongi’s family’s dojo, Chojo begins to take his job more seriously, and the pair embark on a comedic whirlwind solving crimes, catching bad guys, and blundering their way through life as police officers.
