Yasuki Tanaka’s suspense manga “Summer Time Rendering” is getting a live-action movie adaptation in 2027! The announcement was made on 22 July, which is the date when the events of the story begin. Originally, the Summer Time Rendering anime and live-action adaptations were announced together in 2021.

Originally, the Summer Time Rendering anime and live-action projects were revealed in 2021. Although the anime adaptation by studio OLM aired in 2022, there were no updates about the live-action movie until now.
The latest announcement has revealed that Ken Ninomiya will direct the movie. Ninomiya has previously directed the The Limit of Sleeping Beauty movie in 2017 and The Midnight Maiden War movie in 2022. No other staff or cast members have been announced yet.
The movie is set to premiere in Japan in 2027. No details about an international release have been revealed.
