A trailer for the Second Stage of the anime has been released.
The anime adaptation of the seventh part of Hirohiko Araki’s Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure manga, Steel Ball Run, released its first episode on Netflix on 19 March, 2026. In the following week, the episode, entitled ‘First Stage’ amassed 1.7 million views. According to a report by Netflix, Steel Ball Run has made it to the Global Top 10 Non-English Shows list for the week of 23 to 29 March.

As per the report by Netflix, Steel Ball Run’s First Stage took the 6th place in the Global Top 10 Non-English Shows list for last week. It amassed 1.7 million views and kept its place in the top 10 for the second week in a row. The 47 minute-long episode was also viewed for 1.3 million hours overall.
This week, the chart was topped by Radioactive Emergency Season 1 with 7 million views and 35.9 million hours viewed. The second place was taken by Detective Hole Season 1 with 4.9 million views and 36.5 million hours viewed, while the third place went to BTS THE COMEBACK LIVE ARIRANG with 3.6 million views and 3.8 million hours viewed.
When is the second episode of Steel Ball Run coming?
Netflix revealed a trailer for the ‘Second Stage’ episode of Steel Ball Run during AnimeJapan 2026. Unfortunately, it only said that the episode will air sometime in 2026, and fans have no idea when it’s actually dropping. It’s likely that Netflix will randomly drop the second episode without much warning in the near future.

What is Steel Ball Run about?
The seventh part of Hirohiko Araki’s manga and its anime adaptation follows Johnny Joestar and Gyro Zeppelli. In the second episode, they will head into Stage Two of the transcontinental Steel Ball Run horse race in America. Johnny and Gyro are set to cross the desert in this part of the race, but gruesome murders land the participants in far more danger than they anticipated.
